About the video: ‘What are the risks of nuclear proliferation? (Part 1)’

Judge Weeramantry gives reasons why he believes nuclear disaster to be a real and present danger. Nuclear knowledge is now widespread and there is no effective control of fissile material. Meanwhile both can be bought and sold. Furthermore, international non-proliferation laws are largely disregarded by nuclear powers which at the same time attempt to dictate to non-nuclear states. Against this background there are few moral restraints to prevent further proliferation.
