About the video: ‘How does Fair Trade work?’

Paul Rice explains how TransFair USA is just one of twenty fair trade certifiers around the world. They all use the same Fair Trade standards and together they work with over a million farmers. Rice notes that there is a growing class of consumer that cares about the impact their purchasing decisions make. Fair trade helps them make a difference. He adds that in a world where too many people have little or no time to speak out for a better world, fair trade also offers an easy way to register one’s voice as a global citizen.
