About the video: ‘What is the ‘Tobin Tax’?’

Tony Colman describes how a tax on currency trading could generate a global fund to help mitigate climate change. Named after James Tobin, a very small tax on worldwide currency transactions could be easily administered by a global body such as the United Nations. The United Kingdom, France and Canada have all expressed interest in a Tobin Tax. However, more work needs to be done to convince these nations further and bring in other key players.
