About the video: ‘What is the truth about Peak Oil?’

Matt Simmons takes a candid look at the future of global oil and gas supply and demand. Forecasts show demand booming as developing countries such as China and India continue to prosper. But while demand grows, supply can only stagnate. Simmons says that all oil fields and basins are now in production decline. In short, we should prepare for a peak in oil and gas supply. Beyond this point, demand will outstrip supply. Hoarding will result, which could lead to a new rash of energy wars.
