Vijay Vaitheeswaran is a correspondent for The Economist and from 1998 to 2006 he was the magazine's Global Environment & Energy Correspondent. A member of the Council on Foreign Relations, he is the author of Power to the People, How the Coming Energy Revolution will Change our Lives, and maybe even Save the Planet (2003).
