Majid Tehranian is Professor of International Communication at the University of Hawaii. He was the first director of the Toda Institute for Global Peace and Policy Research in Hawaii. He was previously director of Social Planning at the Plan Organization of Iran, a Council Member of International Peace Research Association, and a member of the Club of Rome. His books include Eurasia: A New Peace Agenda (2005), co-edited with Michael Intriligator and Alexander Nikitin and Globalization and Identity (2006) edited with B. Jeannie Lum.
