His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales founded The Prince's Trust in 1976, which provides practical and financial support to young entrepreneurs. He also sponsors The Prince's Regeneration Trust and the Prince's Foundation for the Built Environment. He has been outspoken concerning architecture and the conservation of old buildings and has produced a book on the subject called A Vision of Britain (1989). In 2007 he received the 10th annual Global Environmental Citizen Award from the Harvard Medical School's Center for Health and the Global Environment.
