Annie Lennox is lead vocalist for the rock band Eurythmics. She is a long-term supporter of human rights and social justice issues and has often campaigned for Greenpeace and Amnesty International. In 2005 she accepted the title 'Campaigner of the Year' on behalf of the charity Make Poverty History.
