Professor Thurman is an American Buddhist writer and academic who has authored and edited several books on Tibetan Buddhism.
He is Director of Tibet House in New York City and is active against the People’s Republic of China’s control of Tibet.
In 1997 Time Magazine chose him as one of the 25 most influential people in America.
